The Easter meal is fast approaching and you are thinking how to be able to enjoy all the dishes but still avoid weight gain? Paradoxically, normally we don't agree with excesses and we try not to, but Romanians enjoy the Holidays so much that avoiding food excesses are completely forgotten, that's why we recommend being very careful about what/how we eat during this period for to keep our body healthy.
How do we prevent indigestion?
Stomach pain may seem trivial, but it is very bothersome when it occurs and can cause discomfort.
Stomach aches are caused by intestinal gas, constipation and spasms of the colon, all of which lead to bloating and distension of the intestines.
During the Holidays we are exposed to a greater volume of culinary temptations and excesses.
How to keep your weight off during the Holidays?
2. Opt for breaks between meals, so that the stomach can digest the previous dish. During breaks, drink enough water!
3. Do not skip the meals before the festive one waiting for a delicious dinner. We know that a traditional Easter meal is tempting, but that doesn't mean you have to skip breakfast or lunch. You can opt for lighter meals before the festive one, but don't forget about them.
4. Drink less alcohol; excess alcohol can be harmful to health.
5. A simple trick to eat less food and implicitly not to overeat is to choose a smaller plate. Your mind is thus tricked and thus you will limit the amount of food you eat, being less tempted to fill it up more than once.
6. Don't overdo the fries. Fried food in large quantities causes quite severe stomach pain.
7. Combine your favorite Easter dishes with fruits and vegetables, pickles and salads. Desserts can be very tasty accompanied by fruit.
8. Drink a coffee after a meal, being a natural digestive stimulant and diuretic that helps burn fat and gives the feeling of satiety.
9. Hydrate yourself properly even during the Holidays! Water cleanses your body of toxins, supports digestion and gives the feeling of satiety. If you want, you can also add a slice of lemon, for a stronger detoxifying effect.
10. Choose dishes cooked in the oven, steamed, grilled or boiled, to the detriment of those fried, with a high fat content or stewed in oil.
Thus, take care of your body also during the Holidays. Don't forget to hydrate and eat properly, don't overindulge and constantly remember that this is a time when we all have to enjoy with family and loved ones! Your health in the care of our experts (Medical – Atasagon)!
