Along with these joys it is important not to forget to protect our skin from the harmful effects of the sun&#039;s rays and other external factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surely our life would have been sadder without the sun, because who doesn&#039;t prefer a walk in nature under the sun&#039;s rays?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As much as we love the sun, it is good to know that it can have both positive and negative effects. As long as we know how to establish a balance, we will be able to take advantage of the sun to have healthy skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I have prepared for you an article in which you will find out everything you need to know about UV rays and how to protect your skin from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are UV rays and why are they harmful?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prolonged exposure to the sun without protecting the skin can be dangerous. This happens mainly in the summer, but we are not sufficiently protected in the other seasons either. UV rays cause skin cancer and premature aging, and we encounter them regardless of the season and temperature. So, we need to know by what means we can protect the skin and how to use products with SPF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rays that reach the earth and affect the human body are UVA, with a percentage of 95-98% and UVB, with 2-5%. They can cause acute or chronic effects on the skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UVA rays<\/strong> can penetrate windows and are associated with long-term skin problems. Why? Because they age the skin and lead to the appearance of wrinkles. Moreover, they are even associated with the occurrence of skin cancers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most harmful effects of UVA on the skin are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;inflammation,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pigmentation,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>photoaging,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>immunosuppression,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>carcinogenesis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UVB rays<\/strong> they can&#039;t get through the windows. In addition to sunburn and pigmentary lesions (spots on the skin), they can lead to skin cancer, including malignant melanoma, the most aggressive of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to protect your skin from UV rays<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first and most important step in skin care is to protect your skin from UV rays. But you must be informed before choosing the products as they must be suitable for your skin type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applying an SPF cream is also necessary on less sunny days. At least 15 minutes must pass from the moment of application until you are exposed to the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A good tip is to use a different cream for your face and body, and the lotion that protects your face should also be broad-spectrum, preferably with a higher SPF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next step you need to take is choosing the right sunscreen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do you choose the right sunscreen for your skin?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>And because this choice can be overwhelming, we set out to explain how to choose the right sunscreen for your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is important to aim for products that offer a broad spectrum of protection, as they will be effective against both UVA and UVB rays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When choosing the right sunscreen for you, you must also consider the value of the protection factor. For the face, it would be advisable to use a cream with a protection factor of 30 or even higher. If you use certain cosmetic products based on acids or face serums with vitamin C, the protection factor must be 50+.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When choosing the SPF cream for the face, you must also consider your skin type. For example, if your skin tends to get oily or acne-prone, your sunscreen should be non-comedogenic. If you have dry skin, it is necessary to choose products based on moisturizing ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid or ceramides.
